Work in progress

I'm working on a baby quilt for V's editor. I cut it out on Sunday afternoon and stitched up the blocks this afternoon on my day off.
So far I'm quite pleased with it.  I haven't done any quilting for a while and I have forgotten how much pleasure I get from the precision work.

I've rearranged the blocks several times since this photo was taken.  I think I finally have it but I'm gonna sleep on it tonight and hopefully stitch all the blocks together tomorrow after work.

  1. Very Eric Carle-ish. My wife bought a full set of his books hoping to have an heirloom to pass onto grandkids but our two daughters read the books to tatters literally.

  2. Since I'm all for colorful quilts for babies as opposed to those done in pastel shades of fabric, I LOVE this one of yours! Be sure to show us a picture when it's done, please.

    1. Same here, I love making kids quilts because you can have such a blast with colors. This looks great, the setting is very cool (no matter how the blocks end up).
