Finding Abundance

I went to a class sponsored by Backyard Abundance today. This is a local group advocating permaculture and local foods. It was an inspiring morning. Not much new information for me but it did motivate me to work more on our permaculture plan for the property.
Now I'm really pumped to attend the two day workshop in March on landscape design. This is the first in a series of classes that they are providing that will eventually lead to a nationally recognized certificate in permaculture design. I'm going to have to save my pennies.
I'd post more... but we're still celebrating the signed offer for the house and I've had more wine than I am able to easily type with.....
Have a good rest of your weekend.

  2. lol, been overserved? Well, that's ok, gotta do it once in awhile! I'm going to look up Permaculture because I'm not sure what that is I'm embarrassed to say. I guess it's got something to do with the enrichment of the soil...but will look it up just the same so I won't feel so dumb. I think a landscape design class would be great. Can I go with you, that's right up my ally! Have a nice Sunday. The sun is out bright and cheery today. The temp is up to 3 - it's mighty cold. I put some more food out for my cardinals, finches and snow birds....debbie

  3. Yay for wine! Who is the class through? I have been interested in taking permaculture courses but didn't know anyone who had taken them.

  7. Yes,
Would you please write an explanation of Permaculture. I have been reading blogs for not quite a year, and learning lots about self-sufficiency and homesteading and gardens and animals. Always asking questions - always learning more...
    Thanks
