One of these things...

 Is not like the others!

It was HUGE!  And tasty... I just had to eat it for brunch because I couldn't close the box.
In other news, I finally had a harvest of asparagus big enough for a meal!  Woo Hoo!
Spring has definitely arrived here, soon to be replaced by summer.  We've got a forecast for 95F next week.  Whew!  But lots and lots on the agenda.  I'm off for a few days, Justine will be home next week from college and the garden needs to go in. Busy, busy, busy....

    1. We've had big ones before but I think this one takes the prize.

  2. Yup, we had one of those a couple of weeks ago. It was a double yolker . . . a BIG double yolker at that! (Do you think ones like that hurt the hen?)

Have a wonderful time getting reacquainted with Justine and getting the garden in!

    1. This one was a double yolker. And yes, full sized yolks, not like the little double ones I've had in the past. I can't imagine it is fun for the hen to lay. I'm imagining it's like giving birth to a 12 lb baby.
I'm most looking forward to time home ALONE! V is taking off tomorrow morning to head east and he will be back with Justine on Thursday night. I'll be off work until Friday (and then work Saturday as well) and an so looking forward to having the house to myself while the boys are in school.

  3. Wow! That is one big egg! No wonder you hear squawks from the coop... and how nice to have some time alone. I bet you need all the time you can get - garden, house, sewing business! I don't know how you do it!!!
