Dissapointment

It's not going to happen.  I can't do it.  There is no way we will be ready to put this house on the market by Monday.   I knew that it was a lofty goal but I had hoped to be able to somehow pull it off.  We are both exhausted and I find myself constantly on the verge of tears.  I just wish there were a few more hours in the day.

  1. Judy, I am sorry. You know that I can relate. Try to get a good nights sleep tonight, and tomorrow is another day.

  2. I know you were looking forward to getting it all done by Monday. But look at everything you have accomplished. You will be out of the old place quicker then you think.

  3. You've done so much already. You should be amazed at all you've accomplished---I know we certainly are!! Will listing a week later be an option?

  5. I can imagine your dissapointment, but you've managed to accomplish so much already it makes me dizzy sometimes. I'm sure you'll be able to say goodbye to your old place sooner than you think. Big hug from Belgium...

  6. Mo, I think part of the problem is that both V and I have been so stressed that neither of us is sleeping well- which doesn't help.
    Yart- Thanks.
Sue- Thanks again. The listing deadline was my own self imposed deadline so we can list whenever we want. The push comes from financial pressure. In the course of a few months we went from having a car payment to having payments for car, mortgage and home equity loan (that we took out on our current home so we could afford to repair the new one). So, until this house is sold, things will be very tight.
    Localzone- Thanks for the support.
Meyser- Thanks for the hug from Belgium. Belgium is actually a country where I spent some time. My sister lived there for a year and we had the opportunity to visit her (way back in the 1980s)

  7. Try not to push yourself so hard. You'll get there. You've gotten so much done so fast. It wasn't that long ago that we had our fingers crossed for you to get the place. Now, here you are almost in it. You've been repairing/preparing 2 homes at the same time, packing, not to mention all the while working at your job and taking care of the kids. It has to be stressful.
If I could I'd pack up my paintbrush and tool bag and come give you a hand.
Hang in there, Judy. You'll be listing in no time!
