Happy Halloween!!!

A little photo montage of the day...
Bread in the oven.
Roasting squash
Note to self: remember to check them often, they're not keeping well!
But squash makes yummy bread!
A beautiful sunny day. But windy!
Pumpkin carving time.
A classic shot....
Pumpkins deployed
Boys set to go.
I12 as a doctor.
K9 as an early morning pirate.
And the scariest of all!!!

Regardless of whether you celebrate Halloween with parties or trick-or-treats or are celebrating the older festival of Samhain, have a blessed evening.

  1. Look at all that yummy bread. You know how I cook squash. I cut it in half. Skin side down, fill the hole with real butter and brown sugar!! ooooh, real yummy!! Pumpkins and kids looks GREAT!! Love the black kitty and the pumpkin!! lol cute, cute!! Girls are here tonight. Came late, are playing with Legos at the moment. yea, something sorta quiet! It rained all day and blew real hard, most all the leaves are down - the yard is a sea of leaves!! Have a restful Sunday!!...debbie

  2. That photo of the bread was not fair. I just came home from taking the boys trick or treating and I am cold and hungry and a big piece of that bread would warm me up. I love your cat. I am a huge cat fan. I'll have to post a picture of our cat. The kids look great and I hope they had a lot of fun.

  3. Great pics! Never thought to make sqaush bread. We had issues and lost a lot of squash in storage last year. This year we do not have much to loose :(

  4. I'll try to remember to post my recipe. It's just a basic pumpkin bread recipe but with lots of spices in it, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon. It smells so good while it's baking! Kind of like a pumpkin pie bread. I've used pumpkin as well but it works fine with squash.

  6. That bread looks amazing. What kind of squash was it? I've been trying to track which kinds keep better than others, and so far butternuts are in the lead... I love the pumpkins. Boo to the pumpkin smashers!
