Today marks the midway point between Winter and Spring, one of the cross-quarters of the seasons.
Whether you call it Groundhog's Day or Candlemas, Brigid's Day or Imbolc we can all celebrate the return of light as we wait for the coming of Spring.
I, for one, am ready for longer days and warmer weather.
Meeeeee to!! ...debbie!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for spring.
DeleteMe too, too. I'm taking down all my generic winter decor and packing it away...
ReplyDeleteI think the only winter thing we've got left is our big plastic penguin. He comes out every winter to visit us in the living room. His name is Percival.
DeleteBut . . . but . . . but . . . you know what happens when spring and warm weather arrive. We gain several hours a day of OUTSIDE tasks (think garden!) and less time indoors for S-E-W-I-N-G!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know. I'm wondering how I will be able to balance things out. We'll see what happens.
DeleteI love winter.. a chance to sew, knit, and do things you don't do when it's nice outside...My sister lives in South Carolina and she is always working in her yard.. WInter here in Iowa is peaceful , yes frigid but warm inside the house..
ReplyDeleteHave a super week=end...ta ta from Iowa:)
I do like a bit of winter. We lived in Virginia for a while and really missed having a real winter. While I don't mind winter, I just wish it was about a month shorter!
DeletePercival, that's cute!
