Oh, I am weary.
It was a very busy day here at Troll Bridge Farm. (how do you like the name?) The weather was beautiful- sunny and around 70. A lovely spring day. Here are some of the highlights of the day.
Our first daffodil.
One of 5 little apple trees that I planted today.
Looking up hill from what is now the orchard.
Tilling with my new toy...er...tool.
The garden is ready
A sleepy dog- master of his domain.
Our other new acquisition.
Already put to use- picking up sticks and downed limbs.
K10 up a tree.
We're all ready for some muscle relaxants and off to bed. Tomorrow I plant garden!!
You really did have a busy day. One thing I want to mention for your apple trees, when fall comes you'll have to put wider wire around the trees or the deer will eat your new little branches. Just think!!! while you were working hard, I was having fun at the park! lol...have a good Sunday!...debbie
ReplyDeleteYeah, we know we'll have to do more for deer deterrent in the fall. And hardware cloth around the bottom to keep out the voles. I mostly wanted to keep out the bunnies at the moment. They should have plenty of food but I don't want to give them the opportunity of snacking on something new and tasty.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had fun at the park.

Troll Bridge! Love it! The garden is looking quite nice, and once those apple trees mature, you are going to really be able to enjoy some shade, they are such pretty trees.
ReplyDeleteForgot to tell you I like "Troll Bridge Farm"!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're still debating between Troll Bridge Farm and Troll Bridge Acres. Hmmm.....

Love the name! You have been busy. Our flowers are blooming too. FG has kept my vases full.
ReplyDeleteI tilled up the remainder of our garden and planted a half dozen tomatoes today. Still probably too early but I just couldn't resist when I saw them while helping my wife pick out flowers for the front flower beds. Since my garden is only eight by ten feet, I'm probably in a little better shape tonight than you and V.
ReplyDeleteROFL...I'm glad I'm not the only one that considers a rototiller a toy..err tool! Kim
