A little diversion

We hosted a tea party today.  Quite the lovely time.  A bunch of Justine's friends came over so I could get their measurements. They have all agreed to model for me for the business. Now I've just got to get sewing.  We're planning to do a photo shoot in March when young people are on spring break so I've got to get hopping on sewing.  At least they all gave me ideas of what they would like to model. Of course, they may not entirely get their wishes since I am the designer and seamstress.  But at least I've got some ideas.  And one guy said he was talking to some other of his friends about doing this and they may want to actually buy things.  Eeek....

    1. I know... our friend who used to have a business making uniforms for Civil War Re-enactors quit doing it because it became 'work' and it wasn't fun anymore. Oh, to have that trouble...

    1. The tea party was delightful. It was fun to see them digging through the tub of patterns.

  4. Ha! Susan took the words right out of my mouth. (Off my keyboard?) Be careful for what you wish! You may end up being very, very successful in this new venture. Then you'd have to quit your off-the-homestead job. Darn! Wouldn't that be awful? To have to spend eight hours a day creating on your sewing machine?? We're all pulling for you!

    1. I'm not sure I would ever 100% quit my day job- if only because of the benefits. Plus, I actually LIKE my paying job. But I definitely wouldn't mind being a bit of my own boss a bit more of the time.
