Taking care of business

I've been a bad blogger. I've been busy and haven't been keeping up with everyone like I would like to do. But, I've got some business to take care of. I've received two awards!
Jennifer at Ramblings of a Country Wife has presented me with this one:
Thanks Jennifer! Of course, there are rules attached. I'm supposed to include this text:
"These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers."
and pass this on to 8 other bloggers.

I've also received an award from Sue at Making a House a Home. Thanks Sue!

Here are the STEPS of this Award:
(1) Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
(2) Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
(3) Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
(4) Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
(5) Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.
(6) Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
(7) Leave a comment on each of the blogs, letting them know they have been nominated.

What is with all the rules! Sheesh. I dislike rules. I'm one of those people who break chain letters. But I'll play along a little. I'll at least list the 7 things that people may find interesting about me.
1. I didn't start having children until I was over 30.
2. I used to work as a contract archaeologist (so did V)
3. I am a reformed school teacher- seriously, I have an education degree and taught high school special education for a few years before going back to school for my current profession.
4. I've been in 49 of 50 states and 9 countries. Somehow I've managed to miss Louisiana.
5. I lived on a dairy farm in Western New York state for 6 months during my junior year of high school.
6. I HATE malted milk balls. They are probably the only food I can truly say I hate. There are other things I don't like or would choose not to eat, given a choice but, eew! they're like eating chocolate covered chalk.
7. I'm really a very disorganized person. My papers are in a jumble, I tend to lose things, My desk at work... just shut the office door. I'm also a packrat. I have a hard time throwing things away. I mean, you never know when that may come in useful, right....

Ok, here is where I'm going to break the rules. I know of so many creative and wonderful bloggers out there that choosing them is too hard for my tiny little brain right now. So, if you are reading this, consider yourself chosen for one of these awards. Take your pick.

  1. I gotta hand it to ya-you figured out how to handle the choosing of just a few. I love it!

And I will NEVER EVER believe you are disorganized. Sheesh. Come to my house if you need an example of that!

    Have a great weekend
