Up close and personal!
This beautiful bird has been hanging around for a couple of days. Not the juvenile that was here a few weeks ago (haven't seen him/her in a couple of days- maybe the adult scared it off). I ran outside with my camera with wet hair and no coat when it landed in the tree right across from the end of the driveway. V followed moments later with the bigger, better camera and a coat. Here are some shots for you to enjoy!
Beautiful!
What great shots! Frame-worthy I'd say!
ReplyDeleteOh my! What wonderful shots you captured! I am impressed, especially with the bottom two!
ReplyDeleteAh, I wish I could take credit for those last two. V took them with his camera which is much bigger and nicer than mine. My poor, old, cheap camera is on it's last legs and the zoom doesn't work anymore. I'm thinking it may be time to invest in a nicer camera... or at least one that works.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteWe have been seeing them every day around here lately. On our way up to La Crosse today, we chased one off the road and it lew in front of us for a few minutes before finding a tree to perch in. Amazing! No camera of course! Thanks for sharing this.
Oh such a gorgeous bird....I love watching the Decorah Eagles...they are getting their nest ready for laying the eggs... I bet your thrilled to have it so close by...Beautiful fantastic pictures...Lisa
ReplyDeleteVery cool! They are so much bigger in person!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Renee- we may see if we can print out one of those last ones. They are pretty spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous Cheryl- It is so, so cool to watch.
Susan- What was even more fun was watching it before it flew up into the tree- before I grabbed my camera- it was in the field across the road hunting mice and flapping around. If you look closely on the second to last picture it has some blood smeared on it's feathers. For a while it was cleaning it's beak on the branch it was sitting upon.
jbmdriver- I'll send you an email and we'll work something out.
LindaM- when this one took off it flew straight down the center line of the highway!
lisa- I know last year many people were watching the eagle cam.
s- they are HUGE!! So amazing to see. Even though they're pretty commonplace here now, I still am in awe when I see one.
I'm glad you are all enjoying these!
Judy
