Meet the chicks
I thought I'd share some new photos of the girls.
First: Micah, our Barred Rock
Next up comes Buffy, the Buff Orpington: She is the friendliest and likes being held.
Then, our biggest chick: Claudia- a mystery breed. They were labeled as 'Rainbow Layers' I'm thinking maybe an Easter Egger??
Last and smallest but definitely the most adventurous: Eddie She is also a mystery breed rainbow layer.
Eddie doesn't have the chipmunk stripe down her back as Claudia does but she has a little dark streak down her head and a darker patch on her back. But it does look like her feathers are coming in a buff color.

ReplyDeleteI have 2 Buff Orpingtons, full grown now, and they both come right to me and scooch down for pets when I open the coop. Even the Australorps are better than my Rhodies ever were about being touched as chicks and full growns.

chicks -they are so much fun-you can't hellp but smile when watching their antics--even when all grown up :)
